  1. If small blank spaces appear between connecting Arabic characters
  2. on EGA or VGA monitors, you should select a "80x25 16 Color" text
  3. driver.  To do so, press Shift-F1, select 2, select 3, select EGA
  4. or VGA, then select "80x25 16 Color."
  5.  
  6. If you are using a Genoa 6400 series graphics card and are in
  7. Right to Left mode, the cursor will not be displayed on your
  8. screen if it is in Position 1 (the rightmost position).  This is
  9. a problem with the Genoa graphics card, not with WordPerfect.

  11. When you use WordPerfect's Justification feature, the Left Justify
  12. feature justifies the start of all lines (thus, the right side if
  13. text runs right-to-left).  The Right Justify feature justifies the
  14. end (the left side if text runs right-to-left) of all lines.

  16. A new Start Up switch has been added to support Arabic (Latin)
  17. numbers in WordPerfect.  To use Latin numbers start WordPerfect
  18. with /an (Alternate Numbering) at the DOS prompt, for example:
  19.    -->wp /an
  20. This will activate Latin numbers in WordPerfect for these features:
  21.    Footnote, Endnote, Line Numbering, Page Numbering, Outline and
  22.    Generate.
  23. If you do not start with the /an switch, Hindu numbers are used.

  25. A WP{WP}AR.LEX file now ships with your package.  This file can be
  26. used to count words using Spell (Ctrl-F2).

  28. Support for Character Set 14 has been added.  This character set
  29. contains Arabic characters for Baluchi, Malay, Kurdish, Pashto,
  30. Farsi, Sindhi, and Urdu.  See your Supplement documentation for
  31. more information.

  33. New Arabic Printer Soft fonts and a WP.DRS file have been added to
  34. this package.

  36. If upon entering text in Arabic you are getting boxes then try
  37. using the /cp-710 startup switch.

  39. If you had an old copy of Arabic WordPerfect or Arabic Language
  40. Module and you are updating, you may delete the following files to
  41. save disk space:

  49. While creating a macro in WordPerfect, if you select Ctrl-PgUp, you
  50. will have problems selecting the four macro options
  51. (1 Pause; 2 Display; 3 Assign; 4 Comment:).  To get around this,
  52. disable your keyboard by hitting Ctrl-6, then select your macro option.
  53. To reenable your keyboard, hit Ctrl-6 twice.
